About the Game

PathWords is a word puzzle where you already know the answers. You get the words; the challenge is working out where every letter goes.

Each puzzle is an empty 5x5 grid and a short list of words. Every word snakes through the grid from its own coloured square, and words share letters, so one placement can crack several words at once.

Every puzzle is crafted to have exactly one solution, so it can be solved by pure logic with no guessing. Think sudoku, but with letters.

A new puzzle is free every day. Monday's is gentle and they build to a tough Sunday, so newcomers learn the rules and regulars always have a challenge. Pencil marks, streaks and a spoiler-free share grid bring you back tomorrow.

How to Play

Every word starts at an orange start cell.
Move up, down, left or right to reach the next letter — no diagonals.
Vowels only fit the circular cells; consonants only fit the rounded squares.
Cells are shared, so one letter often serves several words — but a double letter within one word needs two separate cells.
Letters go green as each word traces a path through the grid. When every word is green, you’ve solved it.

Tracing APPLE: start at the marked circular cell for A (1), move right to P (2), right to a second, separate P (3), down to L (4), then down to the circular cell for E (5).
